We’ve left the living room couch and TV in tact, my husband isn’t ready to give those up but we did ditch the “dining room.” I know we shouldn’t but we eat all our meals around the coffee table so I took over the dining area for my sewing area. I’m thinking about trying to convince him to give up the large arm chair (that only the cats sit on) and putting a small two person table in it’s place so we could eat meals somewhere other than our couch.

Wow, time to think outside the box. I assume, like me, you still have sofas in a “living room.” If I had to move like you did, I would jettison the sofa and TV. You can live without a living room, but you cannot live with out a sewing room. Also, you do amazing work, so it is great you are back at it. I LOVE, love your batik flag! Karmen

Its always really hard to downsize your living space. I’m sure you will get where you want to be in the end. Until then you have a sewing space, and lets face it when you are sewing you can ignore everything for a little while.

I found it at a quilt shop near my step-mom but I’ve seen it on Etsy before. It’s a Japanese fabric.
