Theoretically my home office is also my sewing space, realistically I do all my crafting downstairs in the dinining room (listen I need that big table and it’s not like we ever eat there). Regardless I decided it was time to clean the office up and reorganize some things.
You can see above that I finally reclaimed my bookcase for books! I went “shopping” in our basement and found some metal shelves that would fit in the closet. That’s where my small but growing fabric stash is now.
I need to refold everything now to take advantage of the depth of these shelves.
The bottom shef holds the massive amount of batting that I bought with a 40% off coupon at Jo-Anns.
The pants hanger holds large cuts of fashion fabric for my new wardrobe. The plastic bags hold current works in project. These include the blocks that I’ve gotten back so far for Bee Modern and the Mixtape Quilt that needs to be sandwiched.
Above that are fabrics set aside for specific projects. I can be absent minded so if I want something for a specific purpose I have to set it aside. The orange basket holds patterns. There is another shelf in the closet above this but it actually has work stuff (imagine that!).
Now I can close the closet and the space looks like a regular home office, if only I could find a way to do that in the dining room now…
And don’t worry there will be two tutorials this week! I’m also going to finish the simplicity blouse and post pictures for you.
